This works!
"We have rats in the shed. There's no way to seal it up without tearing it down and starting all over. Rats made a mess of it! They ate cardboard and plastic stuff, chewed into yard products like fertilizer and soil additives, nested in empty pots and stored yard cushions and even large buckets with lumber scraps. Yuck. First I deployed a box and then the hanging stations. When they ran out of juice, the rats ate the plastic bottle and chewed up the interior of the bait box. They also keep trying to nest in the box. (It's one if the larger ones. ) A really disgusting mess. But they were crazy about the liquid. I like the hanging stations best because if it runs out, they only chew up the top of the bottle, not the frame. They are simpler in design, cleaner, and easier to change, leaving me less exposed to nasty rat stuff. When I first put these out, rats were running through them in 2-3 weeks. Now they're good for about 6 weeks. I also put out a little camera in a pump area with a bit of roof over it. At first I saw lots of activity. After a couple months, very little, so I removed the camera but keep the bottle full. I'm super chuffed at how well this works! I also have a camera at the dog door and used to see some rat activity there. Haven't seen any in quite a while, even though the liquid bait box under a nearby bush doesn't seem to get any activity. I guess they're eating in the shed!"
