Dr. Loretta Mayer

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board

Dr. Loretta Mayer is a founder of SenesTech and co-inventor on the patents that formed the basis for launching SenesTech’s R&D efforts. She has served as Chairman of the Board since 2004 and Chief Scientific Officer, responsible for the quality of our research, products, and services since 2009. Loretta has recently stepped back into the role of CEO. Her unique background combines business and science. After a successful 20 years in the business world she was inspired by a friend’s illness to go into biotechnology. She went back to school and earned both Master’s (1997) and Ph.D. (2000) degrees in Biology from Northern Arizona University. She accepted a post-doctoral appointment with the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona in 2000, and it was there that she developed a chemical method of inducing peri- and post-menopause in rodents. Dr. Mayer was awarded the 2003 American Heart Association’s Jr. Investigator Award for Women and the 2004 Glenn Foundation Endocrinology and Aging Award for her work. She has also received the 2010 Athena award in Flagstaff and the 2011 Rotarian Humanitarian Award for her work in India.

Dr. Cheryl Dyer

Chief Research Officer

Dr. Dyer is a founder of SenesTech and a member of the Board of Directors. She has served as President of the Company and as a Director since July of 2004. As Chief Research Officer, she oversees all of SenesTech’s research activities for relevance to the Company’s business goals, adherence to scientific standards and assurance of regulatory, legal and contractual compliance. Prior to joining SenesTech, Dr. Dyer served as a NIH funded Principal Investigator at The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA and Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ where she maintained an independently funded research program and laboratory. She was the first Research Professor in the Department of Biology at Northern Arizona University in 1995 and the first Established Investigator for the American Heart Association in the state of Arizona. Dr. Dyer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 1974 and a Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology in 1986 in the School of Medicine at University of California at San Diego.

Tom Chesterman

Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined SenesTech as CFO in September 2015. He has over 20 years of experience as the CFO of a public company, in the life science, tech and telecommunications industries. Most recently, he was the VP and Treasurer of GCI, a telecommunications company in Alaska, but previous to that he was the CFO of life science companies such as Bio-Rad Laboratories, Aradigm, and Bionovo. Tom is adept at a variety of capital market access techniques, and has a proven track record of developing the operational and financial infrastructure to support successful and rapid growth. Tom has an A. B. from Harvard University and an M. B. A. from the University of California at Davis.

Kim Wolin

Executive Vice President Operations

Kim has 16 years of banking experience and has held the positions of Branch Manager, Relationship Manager and Licensed Financial Advisor. Most recently, she was a Vice President of a community bank in Flagstaff. She has owned and operated Creative Net Solutions since the beginning of the internet evolution in 1994 and has designed and hosted websites. Kim also owned an organic produce market in Oakland, CA. for 10 years. She attained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Art from the State University of New York/Buffalo.

Bill Baker

Vice President Finance

Prior to joining SenesTech, Bill was a Senior Vice President with American Security Bank in California. Bill’s background is concentrated in Commercial development and lending. He has worked for large regional banks and community banks over the course of his 30 year career in Finance. At American Security Bank, Bill managed the largest branch of the bank and he was responsible for a portfolio of deposits and loans in excess of $200 million. Bill also worked as Controller of a construction company with over $50 million in annual revenue. Bill served on the Board of Directors for two years prior to joining the team as Vice President of Finance. Bill and his wife, Tina, are Stockholders in SenesTech and he is pleased to be working with SenesTech helping with the transition from development stage research Biotechnology Company to a profitable company with the potential to make a global impact.

Tracy Eames

Vice President of Marketing

Tracy joined the Senestech team as Vice President of Marketing in December 2017.  She has a passion for transformative projects, and has spent her 15-year career launching new brands, building a Program Management Office, and leading organizational change, both domestically and internationally. Her commitment to responsible solutions that drive results for customers, brought her to Senestech, a company that is pushing past the status quo to create a new paradigm.

Prior to joining Senestech, Tracy served in various commercial leadership roles within the integrative health space, including Director of Innovation and Director of Marketing at Emerson Ecologics. With a keen interest in health care and business, Tracy holds a Master of Public Health from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon and a MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and she has spent her career redefining brands and communications within health-focused organizations ranging from leading biotechnology firms such as IDEXX Laboratories to consumer loved brands like Adidas and Tom’s of Maine.

Tracey Hayes

Vice President of Human Relations

Tracey began with Senestech 15 years ago as the grant administrator for this burgeoning startup. Since that time Tracey worked at all three Arizona state colleges as an advisor in mathematics, statistics, education and the sciences. With a master’s Degree in Human Relations, Tracey also previously held the position of executive assistant to in house legal counsel for Gem Star TV Guide. Tracey believes in adopting a strength based approach to recruitment and talent development, principles she previously applied in higher education. She is dedicated to the mission of this company and envisions the global impact of our products and our alternative solution.

Joe Malinowski

Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Joe brings with him a wealth of experience from across all phases of the pest control industry.Joe joins our team from ForeFront Product Design, a manufacturer of an innovative delivery system for the pest control industry, where he served as the Vice President of Business Development.Starting his career with national pest control companies like, Orkin and Terminix, Joe quickly honed his operational skills, and supported the technical training of pest management professionals through leadership roles, such as Vice President of Technical Services, and Quality and Training. Joe solidified his domestic experience, and expanded his international expertise of pest control distribution networks, through his role as Vice President of Sales at B&G Equipment Company.

His passion for the pest control industry, and desire to deliver innovative technologies to continue to improve the effectiveness of Integrated Pest Management has been paramount throughout his career, and a driving force for him joining the Senestech team in February 2018.

Paul M. Palz

Vice President, Corporate Controller

Paul has considerable experience in public and private equity manufacturing, distribution and service industry companies at various stages of development (start-up, wind down, turn-around and mature).  His experience includes treasury management, SEC (including initial public offerings, secondary offerings and related SEC filings), SOX program implementation, acquisition assessment (including reverse merger (inversion) of an Irish entity), SOX implementation and post-closing integration of those acquisitions. He has managed IT, HR, Treasury, FP&A, and accounting teams of various sizes as well as served as a confidant and business advisor to senior management and Boards.

Paul has led the implementation and/or migration of various enterprise system software platforms for international and domestic operations. Prior to joining SenesTech, Inc., he spent the last 5 years as VP Finance-Corporate Controller for Horizon Pharma, Inc. and VP Finance-Comptroller at Therapeutic Proteins, International. Paul received his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. He began his career as a CPA at Arthur Andersen, and worked his way up via the controllership ranks at Caremark International, Allscripts, Inc., Del Global Technologies Corp., Horizon Pharma, Inc. and Therapeutic Proteins International, LLC.

Brandy Pyzyna

Vice President, Scientific Operations

Brandy started with SenesTech as a graduate research assistant in Dr. Mayer’s laboratory in 2009. She quickly moved into her position as Field Operations Manager where she applied the SenesTech technology in a wide variety of field environments to include: Tibetan refugee camps in India, the rice fields of Laos, New York City, Chicago, and rural North Carolina. Her work was instrumental in developing and testing the deployment of fertility management products in open settings. Her experiences in the field led to her new role of Vice President of Biotechnology Implementation. In this position, Brandy supports the transition between laboratory research, field trials, and the delivery of effective, humane pest management solutions to customers. Brandy is an author on four published articles related to SenesTech’s research and has presented features of the technology to academic audiences in Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Grover Wickersham

Vice-Chairman of the Board, SenesTech

Mr. Wickersham was elected to our board of directors and appointed as its Vice Chairman in December 2015. Mr. Wickersham is also Vice Chairman of the board of directors of S&W Seed Company, a NASDAQ-traded agricultural company, Chairman of the Board of Eastside Distilling, Inc., an OTCQB-traded producer and “micro” distiller of spirits, a director of Verseon Corporation, a London AIM-listed pharmaceutical development company, and Vice Chairman of Arbor Vita Corporation, a private company that has developed a test for cervical cancer. Mr. Wickersham has been a director and portfolio advisor of Glenbrook Capital Management, the general partner of a partnership that invests primarily in securities, from 1996 to present. From 1996 to 2016, Mr. Wickersham has served as the chairman of the board of trustees of Purisima Fund, a mutual fund advised by Fisher Investments of Woodside, California. Mr. Wickersham is admitted to practice by the California State Bar and has specialized in securities law. From 1976 to 1981, Mr. Wickersham served as a staff attorney, and then as a branch chief, of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He holds an A.B. from the Univ. of California at Berkeley, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Univ. of California (Hastings). We believe that Mr. Wickersham is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors because of his experience and knowledge of corporate finance and legal matters, his experience and knowledge of operational matters gained as a past and present director of other public and private companies, and his knowledge of our company.

Jamie Bechtel

Dr. Jamie Bechtel  is the co-founder and a board member of New Course, co-founder and managing partner of Kito Global, and a highly regarded leader in international conservation. Her work has led to strategic advances in the fields of conservation, sustainable finance, and biology. Before founding Kito Global and New Course, Jamie worked for seven years at Conservation International (CI), in over 20 countries including such diverse areas as Costa Rica, Fiji, Mexico, and South Africa, among many others. Dr. Bechtel was an advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative, and was recently honored in Fast Company Magazine as 1 of 60 women heroes. Jamie has a Ph.D. from Boston University and a law degree from Boston College.

Delphine Francois Chiavarini

Delphine Francois Chiavarini is Vice President and General Manager for the Bath strategic business unit at Moen Incorporated. She is a strategic minded global executive, passionate about performance and results. She has more than 15 years of experience in general management, sales and marketing, spanning B2C and B2B in multiple geographies and categories.She is an inspirational and collaborative leader recognized for focusing on output, challenging the status quo, developing worldwide cross functional teams to nurture profitable growth. Delphine earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Audencia Business School in Nantes, France, and attended executive programs at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Marc Dumont

Mr. Marc Dumont is an Independent Investment Banker and International Financial Consultant. He is also Chairman and CEO of Chateau de Messey Wineries, Meursault, France. Mr. Dumont previously served as the President of PSA International SA (a PSA Peugeot Citroen Group company) from January 1981 to March 1995. He consults and advises international clients in Europe and Asia, as well as the United States. He is also the Chairman of Sanderling Ventures (a European affiliate of a U.S. venture capital firm) since 1993, managing five biotechnology funds. Mr. Dumont is also a Board member of Lightwave Systems Inc., Santa Barbara, California (since 1997) and Caret Industries, Oxnard, California (since 1995). He has served on many other boards including Finterbank Zurich, Banque Internationale a Luxemborg, Xiphias International Investment Fund Limited (an alternative investment fund), and also Irvine Sensors Corporation where he was member/Chairman of their Audit, Nominating, and Corporate Governance, and Compensation Committees. Mr. Dumont holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Economics from the University of Louvain, Belgium and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Matthew K. Szot

Mr. Szot was elected to our board of directors in December 2015 and serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee of SenesTech. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of S&W Seed Company (Nasdaq: SANW) where he has served since March 2010. Mr. Szot brings a wealth of knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, SEC registered financings, developing and implementing financial and operational process improvements, technical accounting, SEC reporting and compliance. During this tenure, Mr. Szot has been instrumental in negotiating, structuring and integrating five strategic acquisitions and raising over $90 million for the company. Mr. Szot also serves on the board of directors of Eastside Distilling, Inc. (NASDAQ: EAST), a craft spirits company. From 2007 until 2011, Mr. Szot served as the Chief Financial Officer for Cardiff Partners, LLC, a strategic consulting company that provided executive financial services to various publicly traded and privately held companies. Prior thereto, from 2003 to 2006, Mr. Szot served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Rip Curl, Inc., a market leader in wetsuit and action sports apparel products. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Szot was a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG in the San Diego and Chicago offices and served as an Audit Manager for various publicly traded companies. Mr. Szot graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics/Accountancy. Mr. Szot is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.

Julia Williams, MD

Julia Williams, MD, has been an Emergency Department Physician for 27 years. She currently works at Flagstaff Medical Center and also works as the Medical Director for a local Hospice. Dr. Williams is the founder and president of Humanitarian Efforts Reaching Out (HERO), a non-profit 501c3 organization. HERO provides humanitarian services including medical and dental care, alternative power sources, solar cookers, vitamins, eye glasses , nutritional support and animal care. HERO’s mission is to help build healthy sustainable communities in underdeveloped Nations around the world. She is a strong supporter of SenesTech and the technologies they have developed and often says, “Our missions are very similar in that we are both trying to make the planet better for both human and animal populations.” Her other interests include raising companion animals for disabled people and teaching ceramics at the Sedona Arts Center.
