There are a few factors to take into consideration when assessing the impact of ContraPest on your property after deployment.
Factor #1
The Size of your Property
The size of your property should be large enough to encompass the entire rat population of the infestation as observed during your site inspection. If, for some reason, you are unable to determine the true size of the rat population on your property, then ContraPest should continue being used on a monthly basis to allow for continuous consumption for any new unobserved migrating rats.
Factor #2
ContraPest Deployed as a Stand-Alone Product
As a stand-alone product, ContraPest will take more time to realize full results. The rat population will decrease as rats naturally die off but will not increase due to the Inhibited ability of rats to reproduce on an individual level.
Factor #3
ContraPest Deployed as Part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program
By utilizing ContraPest in conjunction with all other prevention methods, including lethal measures, results can be hastened to decrease rat populations. Populations begin to decrease quickly when using lethal methods, bring them to more to manageable level. The additionof ContraPest after this initial knockdown minimizes reproduction and therefore, limiting the return of rat infestations. You will notice decreasing signs of rats and fewer juveniles as you continue to use ContraPest.
