Kenneth Siegel

Chief Executive Officer

Ken Siegel has over 25 years of experience as an executive and senior leader of major corporations. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at SenesTech and as a member of the Board of Directors since 2019. Prior to joining SenesTech, Siegel served as President at Diamond Resorts International Inc. Previously, he was Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Siegel’s experience includes all facets of corporate leadership including operations, strategy, finance, and administrative functions. An instrumental member of the Starwood leadership team, Siegel was intimately involved in Starwood’s emergence as an industry leader before its acquisition by Marriott International in 2016. Siegel played a pivotal role in Starwood’s transition to an asset-light business and was the architect of transactions that drove both top-and bottom-line benefits through industry-leading initiatives.


Tom Chesterman

Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined SenesTech as CFO in September 2015. He has over 20 years of experience as the CFO of a public company, in the life science, tech and telecommunications industries. Most recently, he was the VP and Treasurer of GCI, a telecommunications company in Alaska, but previous to that he was the CFO of life science companies such as Bio-Rad Laboratories, Aradigm, and Bionovo. Tom is adept at a variety of capital market access techniques and has a proven track record of developing the operational and financial infrastructure to support successful and rapid growth. Tom has an A. B. from Harvard University and an M. B. A. from the University of California at Davis.


Kim Wolin

Executive Vice President Operations

Kim has 16 years of banking experience and has held the positions of Branch Manager, Relationship Manager and Licensed Financial Advisor. Most recently, she was a Vice President of a community bank in Flagstaff. She has owned and operated Creative Net Solutions since the beginning of the internet evolution in 1994 and has designed and hosted websites. Kim also owned an organic produce market in Oakland, CA. for 10 years. She attained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Art from the State University of New York/Buffalo.


Steve Krause, PhD

Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Steve has over 25 years of experience in the Ag and Public Health pest management markets worldwide. He has held a variety of positions in sales, marketing, and business management at Paramount Pest, Abbott Labs and Valent BioSciences, most recently serving as Director, Global Public Health business at Valent. Krause has a proven track record of integrating new biorational-based product solutions into operational programs. As a specialist in integrated pest management, he spearheaded a program with the World Health Organization to launch a new class of pesticide to the global B2B and B2G vector control markets. He is a recipient of Abbott’s Summit Award for sales excellence, and his team was recognized for halting transmission of the Zika virus in Miami with a Chicago Innovation Award 2017. Krause is formally trained in biological sciences and marketing, with a BS from James Madison University, a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.


Bill Baker

Vice President of Finance

Prior to joining SenesTech, Bill was a Senior Vice President with American Security Bank in California. Bill’s background is concentrated in Commercial development and lending. He has worked for large regional banks and community banks over the course of his 30-year career in Finance. At American Security Bank, Bill managed the largest branch of the bank and he was responsible for a portfolio of deposits and loans in excess of $200 million. Bill also worked as Controller of a construction company with over $50 million in annual revenue. Bill served on the Board of Directors for two years prior to joining the team as Vice President of Finance. Bill and his wife, Tina, are Stockholders in SenesTech and he is pleased to be working with SenesTech helping with the transition from a development stage research Biotechnology Company to a profitable company with the potential to make a global impact.


Paul M. Palz

Vice President, Corporate Controller

Paul has considerable experience in public and private equity manufacturing, distribution and service industry companies at various stages of development (start-up, wind down, turn-around and mature). His experience includes treasury management, SEC (including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, and related SEC filings), SOX program implementation, acquisition assessment (including reverse merger (inversion) of an Irish entity), SOX implementation and post-closing integration of those acquisitions. He has managed IT, HR, Treasury, FP&A, and accounting teams of various sizes as well as served as a confidant and business advisor to senior management and Boards.

Paul has led the implementation and/or migration of various enterprise system software platforms for international and domestic operations. Prior to joining SenesTech, Inc., he spent the last 5 years as VP Finance-Corporate Controller for Horizon Pharma, Inc. and VP Finance-Comptroller at Therapeutic Proteins, International. Paul received his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the Loyola University of Chicago. He began his career as a CPA at Arthur Andersen and worked his way up via the controllership ranks at Caremark International, Allscripts, Inc., Del Global Technologies Corp., Horizon Pharma, Inc., and Therapeutic Proteins International, LLC.


Brandy Pyzyna

Vice President, Research & Regulatory Affairs

Brandy started with SenesTech as a graduate research assistant in Dr. Mayer’s laboratory in 2009. She quickly moved into her position as Field Operations Manager where she applied the SenesTech technology in a wide variety of field environments some of which include: the rice fields of Laos, the subway system of New York City, municipal settings in Chicago, and a protein production farm in North Carolina. Her success in field deployments led to her advancement to Vice President of Biotechnology Implementation, and ultimately her current role leading the scientific operations and national account teams at SenesTech.

Brandy not only leads the transition between laboratory research, field trials, and the delivery of effective, pest management solutions to customers, she and her team also partner with national accounts on large scale deployments. Brandy is an author to many of the published articles related to SenesTech’s research and has presented features of the technology to a variety of academic audiences across the globe.


Wallace Yopp

Vice President, Manufacturing & Quality Control

Wallace Yopp joins the SenesTech team as the Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality Control. With nearly 30 years of experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry, he has worked in Manufacturing Operations and Technical Services, focused on new facility startups, commissioning and qualification for FDA and other global regulatory agencies. He has demonstrated situational leadership and drives continuous improvement through employee enrollment, empowerment and accountability.

A cum laude graduate of Campbell University, Wallace has a BS in Chemical Technology with a minor in Business.

An American muscle car enthusiast, Wallace also enjoys golfing and all outdoor activities. A dedicated family man, he has a wonderful wife, a 19-year-old son, a 17-year-old daughter, and four four-legged family members, rescued dogs Benny, Sapphire, Suki, and Daisy.


Michelle Kristoff

Director of Marketing

Michelle Kristoff took the helm as SenesTech’s Director of Marketing in 2018, leveraging her extensive background in business, sales and marketing processes, along with strategy and research to manage the company’s shift from research firm to commercial competitor. Her managerial portfolio includes product marketing, global marketing, strategy and CRM for both international and domestic brands, highlighted by her work with the energy industry. Michelle’s demonstrated success in these roles will prove invaluable to the SenesTech team.

As she continues to guide SenesTech’s brand development, Michelle relies on her leadership and teamwork skills, in addition to her flexible problem solving and creativity. Michelle earned her MBA from the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University, after completing her BBA in International Business with a minor in German.

Michelle’s love of animals is obvious; she and her husband share their home with two pugs, Zayne and Zoeii; two cats, Krys and Lexi, and Torti the tortoise. Born and raised in Texas, Michelle supports the Texans through thick and thin. Her experiences living abroad inspired her love of travel and she takes any opportunity to fish, hunt, and is a certified SCUBA diver.


Charmonte Watkins

Director of Regulatory Affairs

Charmonte is a new addition to SenesTech, joining the team in June 2018 to provide regulatory guidance. She started her career in the laboratory doing product/raw materials testing and analytical method development at US Department of Agriculture and in the food/natural products industry. After spending 10 years in the laboratory, she made the transition out of the laboratory, moving into roles with Quality Control and Assurance and Regulatory Affairs in the Pharmaceutical industry. These quality and regulatory roles focused on writing/reviewing procedural, labeling, and marketing documents. She has a B.A. in Chemistry from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and an M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland, University College.

Jamie Bechtel

Chairman of the Board, SenesTech

Dr. Jamie Bechtel is the co-founder and a board member of New Course, co-founder and managing partner of Kito Global, and a highly regarded leader in international conservation. Her work has led to strategic advances in the fields of conservation, sustainable finance, and biology. Before founding Kito Global and New Course, Jamie worked for seven years at Conservation International (CI), in over 20 countries including such diverse areas as Costa Rica, Fiji, Mexico, and South Africa, among many others. Dr. Bechtel was an advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative and was recently honored in Fast Company Magazine as 1 of 60 women heroes. Jamie has a Ph.D. from Boston University and a law degree from Boston College.

Delphine Francois Chiavarini

Delphine Francois Chiavarini is Vice President and General Manager for the Bath strategic business unit at Moen Incorporated. She is a strategic-minded global executive, passionate about performance and results. She has more than 15 years of experience in general management, sales, and marketing, spanning B2C and B2B in multiple geographies and categories. She is an inspirational and collaborative leader recognized for focusing on output, challenging the status quo, developing worldwide cross-functional teams to nurture profitable growth. Delphine earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Audencia Business School in Nantes, France, and attended executive programs at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Marc Dumont

Mr. Marc Dumont is an Independent Investment Banker and International Financial Consultant. He is also Chairman and CEO of Chateau de Messey Wineries, Meursault, France. Mr. Dumont previously served as the President of PSA International SA (a PSA Peugeot Citroen Group company) from January 1981 to March 1995. He consults and advises international clients in Europe and Asia, as well as the United States. He is also the Chairman of Sanderling Ventures (a European affiliate of a U.S. venture capital firm) since 1993, managing five biotechnology funds. Mr. Dumont is also a Board member of Lightwave Systems Inc., Santa Barbara, California (since 1997) and Caret Industries, Oxnard, California (since 1995). He has served on many other boards including Finterbank Zurich, Banque Internationale a Luxembourg, Xiphias International Investment Fund Limited (an alternative investment fund), and also Irvine Sensors Corporation where he was member/Chairman of their Audit, Nominating, and Corporate Governance, and Compensation Committees. Mr. Dumont holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Economics from the University of Louvain, Belgium, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.


K.C. Kavanagh

K.C. Kavanagh is a C-level Communications leader. A current member of Bacardi Limited’s Global Leadership Team and formerly a member of the 12-person Senior Leadership Team of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, K.C. has significant experience leading global communications efforts across 150+ countries, including a deep understanding of emerging markets like China, India, and the Middle East.

Throughout her career, K.C. has led communications teams that have played an outsized role in influencing corporate culture, innovation, brand positioning, unit growth, and financial results.

During her time at Starwood, K.C. was a key member of the M&A team and a leader of the Company’s integration team during a high-profile merger with Marriott International, delivering sensitive and transparent communications – internally and externally.

An experienced speechwriter and seasoned 24/7 crisis manager, K.C. has managed global-scale crises, beginning with the events of 9/11, when she was tasked by Starwood’s Board to spearhead a new 60-person Crisis Management Team that strengthened protocols, operations, and communications globally.

Adept at taking complex strategies and making them understandable and exciting across a diverse and global employee population, K.C. has helped create cultures that embrace change centered on technology, globalization, and lifestyle brands.


Phil Grandinetti, III

Phil Grandinetti co-founded WITHit after eight years as VP of Sales at LightWedge—a global e-book, e reader and tablet accessories brand. All told, Grandinetti has spent the last 18 years in a leadership role for consumer products companies, including serving as Sr. VP of Sales for GSM Products in Oceanside, CA.

As co-founder of WITHit, Phil was instrumental in launching the company’s line of Wearable Tech Accessories in 2014. WITHit products are sold through the largest and most influential retailers in the US with retail partners including Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Sam’s Club, QVC, HSN, Kohl’s, and Barnes & Noble.

Grandinetti joined GSM Products as the U.S. Director of Sales and was quickly promoted to VP of Worldwide Sales, leading the company into Canada, Mexico, U.K., and the Pacific Rim. Within a year, Grandinetti was promoted again to Sr. VP Worldwide Sales. During his tenure at GSM, the company realized unprecedented growth under Grandinetti’s guidance.

Grandinetti has a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and is licensed in the State of California, as well as a B.A. from the University of Iowa in Economics and Political Science.


Jake Leach

As the Chief Technology Officer at Dexcom, Jake is responsible for the leadership of scientific research, engineering, product development, and project management. Jake oversees the development of next generation products and leads a large organization of amazing people. His teams are responsible for delivering best in class glucose monitoring technology paired with an exceptional user experience.

Jake joined Dexcom in March 2004 to lead the development of sensor electronics which were part of the first generation Dexcom system. Jake has served in various roles within Dexcom including Senior Vice President of R&D, Senior Director of R&D, and Manager of Engineering.

From 1996 to 2004, Jake held positions in research and development at MiniMed and subsequently Medtronic Diabetes, focusing on the development of glucose sensing systems.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.


Matthew K. Szot

Mr. Szot was elected to our board of directors in December 2015 and serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee of SenesTech. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of S&W Seed Company (Nasdaq: SANW) where he has served since March 2010. Mr. Szot brings a wealth of knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, equity, and debt financings, corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance, technical GAAP, and developing and implementing financial and operational workflows and process improvements. During this tenure, Mr. Szot has been instrumental in negotiating, structuring, and integrating seven strategic acquisitions and raising over $200 million in equity and debt financings for the company. Mr. Szot is also currently a Director and serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee of INVO Bioscience, a publicly-traded medical device company focused on treating infertility.

From 2007 until 2011, Mr. Szot served as the Chief Financial Officer for Cardiff Partners, LLC, a strategic consulting company that provided executive financial services to various publicly traded and privately held companies. Prior thereto, from 2003 to 2006, Mr. Szot served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Rip Curl, Inc., a market leader in wetsuit and action sports apparel products. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Szot was a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG in the San Diego and Chicago offices and served as an Audit Manager for various publicly traded companies. Mr. Szot graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics/Accountancy. Mr. Szot is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.


Julia Williams, MD

Julia Williams MD was elected to our board of directors in August 2011. She is currently employed at Little Colorado Medical Center as a Family Physician. Previously, Dr. Williams worked at Flagstaff Medical Center as an Emergency Department Physician since 1999. Dr. Williams is the founder and President of Humanitarian Efforts Reaching Out (HERO), a non-profit 501C3 organization. HERO helps build healthy, sustainable communities in underdeveloped Nations providing medical and dental care, veterinarian services, alternative power systems, solar cookers, vitamins, eyeglasses, nutritional support, and construction projects.

Dr. Williams received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, and her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She volunteers as a ceramics instructor at the Sedona Arts Center. She also has bred and trained companion animals.

We believe that Dr. Williams is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors because of her medical and scientific background, commitment to and experience with animal care, and her long commitment to our vision.
